Aerial Filming

Based in Devon we are ideally situated for filming all over the South West of Engalnd and Wales. You either have the option of having the doors of the aircraft removed, which will allow plenty of room for filming all angles, or you can use one of our sliding windows if you prefer not to hang out of the helicopter! Our aircraft also have the necessary fitments for a variety of camera mounts, including Wescam and are suitably equipped and approved for all types of overwater filming and photography. Above all it is important to know that all Lomas Helicopter Pilots have 1000's of flying hours experience working with aerial photographers and film companies.

Recent tasks have included being one of 10 helicopters who were contracted to do all of the aerial filming for the 2004 Olympics in Athens as well as the 2006 Asian Games in Doha. Also the filming for the Zurich Insurance "Flying Pigs", aerial filming for the Thunderbirds and King Arthur movie's, "Britain Goes Wild" and the BBC's "Down to Earth" programme.

Survey

Our aircraft can be used for photographing estates to help with land management, such as forestry, drainage, river management and future planning to enable the customer to see at a glance both the overall picture and to make a detailed analysis of specific areas. This suits the needs of town & country planners, road and rail transport, archeology and surveillance using a range of techniques including infra - red film and high and low angle oblique photography.
